Revealed: Alleged Plot by Nonagenarian Businessman to dupe Former Plateau Governor’s Son Spills

An alleged Plot to dupe the Son of a former Governor of Plateau State Mr Yakubu Jang by a 90 year old businessman and owner of Super Fine Furniture and Trading Company Limited has been revealed.

Information reaching this news platform has it that some times in 2011, Yakubu Jang acquired a landed property along Airforce round-about Junction in Jos from Super Fine Furniture and Trading Company limited owned by one Mr Gbaagile Korinjo after installment payments  were made to completion with documents handed over to him in the presence of a ranking military officer as witness.

However, recent reports reaching this medium have indicated that the former owners of the property led by the Nonagenarian and his agents have turned to blackmail the new owner (Yakubu Jang) with the intent to illegally resell the property and  allegedly defraud members of the public.

Investigations also revealed that the former owners who sold the land and handed all land titles to the Former Governor’s Son have resorted to blackmail, threats and intimidation, using anti-graft agencies and courts by insisting that as at the time of sale, he (the Former Governor’s Son) did not have the financial capacity to purchase the land.

The former owners also alleged that they were still been owed by the former Governor’s Son despite transferring all land titles at the time of sale.

It was gathered that the Ex Governor’s Son after purchasing the said land still left the old tenants  to use the said property  as he was not  immediately ready to develop the land. It was further gathered that the Ex Governor’s son started paying for the land in installments in 2007 and finished payment in December 2011.

Investigation by this online platform has it that the Ex Plateau Governor’s son was handed over all original copies of the titles belonging to the land which includes the Certificate of Occupancy C Of O along with an irrevocably power of attorney.

Sources familiar with the transactions confirmed that the Ex Governor’s Son paid the money to the business man in  installments and in full. The source lamented why a Nonagenarian would want to engage in such a fraudulent act.

The source warned members of the public to be wary of activities of fraudsters and not allow themselves to be defrauded by them and their agents.

According to the company’s information available online Super Fine Furniture and Trading Company LTD is owned by Mr Gbaagile Korinjo and six others.

Meanwhile a cross section of citizens of the state have described Yakubu Jang as a gentleman who does not like trouble.

Some of them who spoke to newsmen in Jos described him as a hardworking man who had been in business before his father was elected Governor. They also said he  believes in the rule of law.

More details coming soon.
