International Women’s Day 2024: NANS Hails Contributions, Resilience and Achievements of Female Students and Nigerian women at home and in Diaspora in shaping brighter future

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has hailed the achievements, contributions and resilience of Female Students and Nigerian Women at home and in Diaspora in shaping a brighter future for the country. This position was projected by the President of NANS Comrade Pedro Chibuzo Obi in a statement made available to this medium on Friday 8th March 2024 to mark the 2024 International Women’s Day.

According to the statement, “In every field of endeavor, Nigerian women continue to exhibit remarkable dedication, intellect, and leadership. Their unwavering commitment to academic excellence, social progress, and community development inspires us all”.

NANS restates commitment to promote gender equality and empower female students to reach their fullest potential. “On this special day, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering female students to reach their fullest potential. NANS stands firmly in support of creating an environment that fosters equal opportunities, respect, and dignity for all students, regardless of gender.”

NANS adds that “As we celebrate the achievements of Nigerian women, let us also recognize the challenges they continue to face and rededicate ourselves to advocating for their rights and well-being.”
