As the year 2025 commences with great enthusiasm and expectations among Nigerians, especially given the economic challenges that intensified in the closing stages of 2024.Many individuala and organizations have also called on members and indeed the general public to remain united and keep hope alive looking into 2025.
This has also been the tone in the new year message of the National Road Travellers & Motor Park Association of Nigeria (NARTPAN). In a statement by the President of the association, Alhaji Haruna Muhammed Iliyasu, he appreciated members and stakeholders of the association for their support and steadfastness in 2024.
He said that though the outgone year 2024 was full of challenges and opportunities, the association worked tirelessly in promoting the interest of road travelers and motorpark operators, while also advocating for improved road infrastructure.
The association presented the following key priorities for the new year 2025 to include:
1. *Advocating for improved road infrastructure*: We’ll continue to push for increased investment in road construction and maintenance, ensuring safer and more efficient travel for all.
2. *Enhancing safety standards*: We’ll work with government agencies and private sector partners to promote best practices in road safety, reducing the risk of accidents and improving emergency response times.
3. *Supporting business growth and development*: We’ll provide training, capacity-building programs, and business support services to help our members grow and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment.
Going into the year 2025, the association pledged to continue to push for positive change, in collaboration with government agencies, the private sector and her partners, as well ss stakeholders in addressing pressing issues facing the transport industry.

The association also used the opportunity to appreciate the Exective Governor of Plateau State Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for ameliorating the plights of travellers occassioned by high cost of transportation in Plateau State by subsiding the cost of transportation by 50%. This according to the association, has given the people breathing space to travel to for the Christmas celebration.
