The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has expressed deep sadness over the recent unfortunate attacks in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State which led to the loss of lives, injury of scores and destruction of property. The SDP called for immediate security action to prevent further deterioration of the situation.

This was disclosed by the Plateau State Chairman of the party (who doubles as the supervising North Central Chairman of the Party), Hon Abubakar Dogara while interacting with our correspondent in Jos over the unfortunate incident. The party commended the State and the Federal Governments for their efforts, while also warning them of their failure to take proactive measures.
Hon Dogara onbehalf of the SDP stressed that intelligence signals should be taken seriously going forward, given that there were signals before the sad development occurred. “SDP still believes that there must have been an intelligence signal before the occurrence of the sad incident” he posited. The party called on security agencies to always act on early warning signs and intelligence signals to prevent future incidents while also commending their effort in ensuring that the situation did not escalate.
The party commiserates with the good people of Bokkos LGA who lost their beloved ones and prayed that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
