The Executive Chairman of Jos South Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Silas Patrick Dung, has been presented with an award of excellence and a letter of commendation by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Plateau State Secretariat.
The recognition comes in acknowledgment of Hon. Dung’s unwavering commitment to youth development and his recent contributions to the NYSC in the region.

The presentation was led by the Plateau State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Hon. Musa Ibrahim Ashoms, who also serves as the Chairman of the NYSC Governing Council in the state and the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Yavala Jonathan.
Both officials expressed their gratitude to Hon. Dung for his dedication to improving the welfare and development of youths in Jos South LGA.

The award specifically highlights Hon. Dung’s recent gesture of officially handing over a newly remodeled NYSC Lodge in Kuru Community. The lodge, which has been upgraded to provide better accommodation and facilities for corps members, is expected to significantly enhance theirliving conditions and overall experience during their service year.
