Plateau Specialist Hospital Initiates 5 Years Strategic Planning

Thursday 30th January 2025 marked the beginning of an important three-day retreat for the management of Plateau State Specialist Hospital, themed “5 Years Strategic Planning Retreat.” This significant event was spearheaded by the Chief Medical Director, Professor Christopher Yilgwan, with the primary goal of devising a comprehensive plan for the hospital’s growth and development over the next five years.

The retreat saw the participation of all heads of departments from various units within the hospital. These dedicated professionals gathered with a common purpose: to create a strategic plan that would enhance the hospital’s services and operations, ensuring it remains a beacon of healthcare excellence.

The retreat commenced with an inspiring keynote address by Professor Yilgwan Sabo, who emphasized the importance of forward-thinking and meticulous planning in the ever-evolving healthcare landscape. At the end of the three days, a comprehensive strategic plan woudrafted, outlining the hospital’s vision and goals for the next five years.
