It was an exciting and exhilarating moment for the people of Azzuzuama and surrounding communities taking part in the 2024 (11th Edition) General Young Shall Grow Tubo Unity Cup when the Eyewei (V) of Azzuzuama Southern Ijaw LGA of Bayelsa His Royal Highness Dr Selky Kile Torughedi was announced as one of the players of Palace FC of Azzuzuama and appeared well dressed up in his football kits and played along side subjects in the spirit of unity and festivity during the quarter final round of tournament between Palace FC Vs Eagle Stars FC of Undewari on Monday 30th December 2024.
Exemplifying his strong attachment with his people and his close touch with their plights and feelings, the fit Southern Monarch tapped the round leather ball with a contagious love and excitement to a unitary applause from all spectators.
Even though the match ended 1-1 at full-time, Eagles FC had luck on their side when the came up tops after a tensed penalty shoot-outs.
