Hon Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Chief Ephraim Usman receives PYC Exectives & Carol Committee in Jos

The Plateau State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Chief Ephraim Usman Gar, has called on the leadership of the Plateau State Youth Council to join hands with the Time is Now administration to build a brighter future for the youth.

The Commissioner stated this when he received the new executive of the Plateau Youth Council in his office. Disclosing this development, the Information Officer of the Ministry Mr Edward Damwesh in a statement in Jos, said that Chief Usman assured the PYC executive that the Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang-led administration is committed to providing an environment for the youth to succeed, especially in the area of agriculture.

According to the HonorableCommissioner, the youth are the backbone of the society, adding that it is their collective responsibility to empower them to maximize their potential. The Commissioner called on them to come together in unity in order to achieve their goals.

Earlier, in his remark, the Plateau State chairman of the Youth Council, Mr. Panan Gongden Dapar said their visit was to present the newly elected leaders who were sworn in after winning the election that was conducted recently. He commended Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for appointing vibrant youths to serve in his administration and pledged to support the Governor as he leads efforts to develop the State.

Also, at the Ministry on a courtesy call were the NTA, TV College and Highland FM combined committee for the 2024 Christmas Carol led by Mr. James Yakat Din who disclosed that the event is scheduled to hold on December 15th. Responding, Hon. Chief Ephraim Usman Gar, said the Ministry’s doors are always open to any programme that promotes unity, love and the teaching of Jesus Christ.
