The Senior Special Assistant to the Plateau State Governor Barr. Caleb Mutfwang on Middle Belt Nationalities, Hon. Dan Kwada on Thursday held a parley with Journalists and Veterans from the zone. Speaking at the occasion, several Veterans lauded Governor Caleb Mutfwang for having the middle belt at heart.

A veteran who was one time Commissioner of Information in Plateau state Hon Gregory Nyelong, in his remarks lauded Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his all inclusive administration on the Plateau aimed at bringing the people together and providing them with high-quality services and effective governance.
Also speaking at the occasion a veteran Journalist Johnathan Ishaku commended Gov Mutfwang for creating the office on SSA on middlebelt Nationalities. Ishaku who was one time General Manager of the Standard Newspaper stressed that this has proven that the Governor has the interest of the Middlebelt at heart. He urged journalist to continue to work to bring development to the middle belt.
The Special Adviser to Gov Mutfwang on Strategic Communication Hon Timothy Golu (P.hD) said the middlebelt region is the richest in the country. Golu who was one time member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency stressed that Governor Mutfwang has the interest of the middlebelt at heart and would continue to work to bring development to the state.
The Director of Press and Public affairs to Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Bere Gyang (P.hD) lauded the Mr Dan Kwada for convening the meeting and said the Governor is determined to bring massive development to the state. Dr Bere Gyang added that Governor Caleb Mutfwang is working to diversify the economy of the state and urged the people to continue to support him.
Kadaba Gobum one time chairman of the council also lauded the SSA for convening the meeting and urged newsmen to work towards bringing development to the zone.
The SSA on Middle Belt nationalities Dan Kwada in his speech said that Governor Mutfwang was very passionate and concerned about the challenges confronting the Middle Belt region.
“This formed the basis for the creation of this office for the very first time in the history of Plateau State.He said the Main purpose of the meeting is to appreciate the Middle-Belt Journalists on the Plateau and to Foster unity amongst journalist from the region for better understand and cooperation and to also seek for their support in telling the Plateau and Middle-Belt stories, hence the need to support Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s unwavering commitments in bringing the needed development in Plateau State.”
“As journalists from the middle belt enclave, we are in charge of all the news and reports that come out from our region and again our pains and voices have the power to inspire, educate, unite and mobilize our people. We’ve been quiet for long and we must begin to tell our stories the way they are.”
The SSA also sought the support and collaboration of the middle belt journalist for ‘The Time is Now’ Administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang which he said is changing the narrative on the Plateau with development across the three senatorial districts of the State. Our correspondent reports that the meeting was attended by practising Journalists from the middle belt region, one time Chairman of the Council Hon Paul Jatau and several other veterans. .
