On receiving the report of the occurrence of the collapse of the School Building of Saints Academy Busa-Buji, Jos North LGA of Plateau State at about 9.00 am on Friday 12th July, 2024, the Coordinator of the Plateau State Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance (PLASEMSAS) Dr Stephen Bishmang and his team immediately swung into action.
PLASEMSAS was able to deploy ambulances from various stakeholders to the scene of the incident to transport the victims to the onboarded emergency treatment centres (i.e Bingham University Teaching Hospital, Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Our Lady of Apostles’ Hospital and the Jos University Teaching Hospital).

After the evacuation of those trapped in the rubbles, the coordinator and his team then visited the victims on admission at the various Emergency Treatment Centers where the Coordinator restated the commitment of PLASEMSAS to offset the medical bills for emergency services rendered victims from the point of incident up to the facility for the first 48 hours.

As at today Saturday 13th July, 2024 the collapse site has been evacuated and the PLASEMSAS team has again visited all the emergency treatment centres to assess the victims on admission currently receiving treatment. A good number have since been discharged home.
