Dr Aniyi Williams Olarewaju the CEO Wilda’s Global And Sport Limited has been awarded with ‘The Outstanding Leadership Award’ in recognition of his contribution to sport development. The award which was presented to him by the Change Makers Impact Award, who noted that the achievements of Wilda’s Global And Sport Limited is very significant and worthy of recognition.
They added that Dr Williams has done tremendously well in sport development and has discovered so many talents that are now playing both home and abroad. One of the beneficiary of Wilda’s Global And Sport Limited who testified following he award, Nansel Selbon Tali, a former youth under -17 player who has played in USA, Croatia, Israel and Egypt and has also extended his contract with Wilda’s Global And Sport Limited, praised the sport developer Dr Aniyi Williams for the support and impactful role he has played in his life and other young talents in plateau state and Nigeria as a whole.
Selbon said Wilda’s Global And Sport Limited made him realize his dream of playing football internationally, he appreciated and thanked the CEO Wilda’s Global And Sport Limited Dr Aniyi Williams Olarewaju for supporting him to actualize his dream. Dr Aniyi Williams Olarewaju in appreciation of the award given to him by the organizers, thanked them for finding him worthy of the award, adding that the award will spour him to do more. He called on all interested footballers who want to travel abroad to ply their trade to fill free to come to the office for all the necessary assistance and connection to play professionally as the company has a track record of assisting players to go to trials and to play football professionally in the country of the choice.
While responding to questions from journalists about his company shared his experience and said that basically they do travel around the local governments, down to the grassroots to discover talents. According to him “We’ve been to Pankshin, Heipang in Barkin Ladi and other villages around plateau to gathered some youths for snooker, table tennis and volleyball activities which according to him will recruit those who will participate in an upcoming sports tournament that will take place in the coming months.
Dr Williams while speaking on Wilda’s Global Sport Limited’s philanthropic gesture said that they found out that there were a lot of people that were not buoyant enough to support players or the youth generally. Hence, they visit hinterland communities to donate Boots, Jerseys and other wares. He said they also support in feeding people just to make sure that the environment is okay and conducive enough to bring out the potentials in them.
Dr Williams called on spirited individuals to partner with Wilda’s Global And Sport Limited as they are willing to surrender themselves to work with them and also with government to boost sporting activities in the state.
He added that Wilda’s Global And Sport Limited would like to work with plateau state government to ensure that anything that they are willing to share their technical experience in areas such as travels, documents and the development of grassroot sports and athletes in the state.
