HRH Dr Selky Kile Torughedi calls on Niger Delta Stakeholders and Youths to Support Chief Dennis Otuaro PhD led Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP)

The Eyewei (V) of Azzuzuama, Southern Ijaw LGA of Bayelsa State and the Amanenawei of FCT, HRH Dr Selky Kile Torughedi (aka General Young Shall Grow) has called on stakeholders and youths, particularly Ex-Agitators of the entire Niger Delta region to explore all available legal means to support the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) led by Chief Dennis Otuaro PhD in order to encourage his administration to succeed in carrying the mandate entrust to him.

HRH Dr Selky made this known in a statement issued in Abuja the nation’s capital on Monday 6th May 2024 and made available to journalists. The Monarch urged them to put aside all conflicts of interests, and work together in synergy to get it right as a region.

According to the statement HRH Dr Selky said “We owe it to ourselves to collectively succeed with this current administration given that we’ve gone through deferent phases of administrations and programs set out by PAP but untill we start working in synergy setting aside all conflicts and personal interest we might never get it right, We have no other region other than the Niger Delta so let us eschew our deference and support our proactive Administrator who has hit the ground running in order to restore the program to its original master plan through proper reforms”.

HRH Dr Selky also commended the recent visits of the new Amnesty Boss to key stakeholders of the President Tinubu’s administration, describing it as a welcome development and a needed strategic move aimed at fostering synergy, which according to him will strengthen relevant relationships in order for the program to work smoothly.

He also called on the Federal Government to give adequate time, attention and support to Chief Dr Dennis Otuaro as the Amnesty Administrator to implement the foundational blueprint of the program adding that constant change of leadership of the PAP has taken the program backward.

The Monarch used the opportunity to cautioned mischief makers to refrain from fanning propaganda and discord against Chief Dennis Otuaro led PAP, stressing that he will not be detterred from actualizing the master plan of the program for the benefit of the people of the Niger Delta.

“I’m also using this medium to express my dissatisfaction over all mischief makers and some self acclaimed ex- agitators in the disguise of civil society group who recently have been fanning the embers of discord and propaganda against Dr Dennis Otuaro as the Amnesty Administrator. Let it be clear that no amount of propaganda will stop him from actualizing the master plan of the amnesty program to the benefit of our people.” he added.

The Monarch stated further that “I know Dr. Dennis Otuaru to be an upright man and a firm believer of human capacity development, as we forge ahead i call on all well meaning youth of Niger Delta particularly all ex-agitators from first phase, second phase and third phase to shun violence and embrace the opportunities presented by the Dennis Otuaru led administration as i believe that he’s committed to discharging his duties without fear or favor and with due diligence.” he concluded.
