The Emir of Lafiya Bare Bari and Chairman Nasarawa State Traditional Council of Chiefs, HRH Hon Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I (JSC RTD) has received HRH Dr Selky Kile Torughedi, the Eyewei the 5th of Azzuzuama, Southern Ijaw LGA of Bayelsa State and Amanenawei of FCT, Northern Nigeria during the celebration of the 5th Year Anniversary of the Emir since his ascension on the throne.
HRH Dr Selky was at the palace of the Emir of Lafiya and later to the arena in Lafiya to celebrate with the Royal Father along with other respected monarch from across the country such as the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III; Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba; Oni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja 11; Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero; Emir of Zauzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.
Others are the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar; Lamido of Adamawa, Lamido Muhammadu Barkindo; Emir of Biu, Mai Mustapha Umar; the Emir of Keffi, HRH Alhaji (Dr) Chindo Shehu Yamusa (III), and hundreds of other monarchs.
The celebration which started on Monday 29th April 2024 and climaxed on Saturday 4th May 2024 and featured various activities and rich display of ancient culture and tradition of the Lafiya Emirate. Homage and tributes were received by the celebrant, HRH Hon Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I (JSC RTD), Emir of Lafiya Bare Bari.
