HRH Dr Selky Kile Torughedi Congratulates Dr Dennis Otuaro on his appointment as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty

The Eyewei the 5th of Azzuzuama, Southern Ijaw LGA of Bayelsa State, His Royal Highness Dr Selky Kile Torughedi (aka General Young Shall Grow) has congratulated the new Administrator of Presidential Amnesty Program, Dr Otuaro Dennis.

In a statement issued by the monarch in Abuja on Monday 18th March 2024, he described the appointment of Dr Otuaro as timely, especially “…at the time the Niger Delta Agitators have been clamoring for change, and as such his appointment is as a result of divine providence occasioned by his commitment to the emancipation of our people”.

He used the opportunity to assure Dr Otuaro of his support and that of his people in sustaining the peace efforts in the region. “Therefore, I want to assure you that South Wing Mend is committed to working with you and the office you occupy to sustain peace, unity and prosperity in the Niger Delta region. Am also using this medium to encourage you to revisit the reasons why we accepted the Federal Government’s amnesty and the original master plan of the amnesty program.”

“I believe in your wealth of knowledge and experience, and your capacity to manage, enhance and to return the program to the core values of our struggle; equity, fairness and justice.”

HRH Dr Selky thanked President Tinubu for summoning the courage to initiate a paradigm shift by appointing a technocrat. “I equally thank President Ahmed Bola Tinubu (G.C.F.R) for having the courage for this paradigm shift by appointing a technocrat of Dr Otuaro’s pedigree to administer the amnesty program. I consider Dr Otuaro as the best candidate at this moment , who can restore the amnesty program to its original plan as set out by late President Umar Musa Yar’Adua.”
