Recall that the Director General of the Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) during the enforcement of the February 2024 environmental sanitation disclosed that he was an advocate of frequent voluntary sanitation rather than the enforced monthly environmental sanitation. This he said was in line with the idea the Executive Governor of Plateau State Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang had which made him declare state of emergency on environmental sanitation when he took over office in 2023.

Heeding to this call, residents of Jos have began responding by volunteering to embark on sanitation in line with ‘The Time is Now to Keep Plateau Clean’ mandate of the Governor.
First to take the initiative and make history is the Courtyard of Truth Ministries located at Korinjo House, close to Dominos Pizza, British America in Jos. They came out in their numbers on Saturday 2nd March 2024 to clean their Korinjo House environment, their immediate community, down to the British Flyover.

Leading the exercise, Senior Pastor of the Courtyard of Truth Ministries, Pastor Femi Bambgoye emphasized the need to keep the environment clean in line with the fact that ‘cleanliness is next to godliness’. By leading the charge and making a good example, Pastor Femi Bambgoye has set the agenda for a new dispensation of voluntary environmental sanitation in the State, which will greatly reduce the burden of enforcement of monthly environmental sanitation.

Responding to the cheering news, the Director General of Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) Mr Samuel Dapiya described the development as commendable and encouraging. He called on other places of worship, business men and women, as well as corporate organizations to emulate the Courtyard of Truth Ministries and also partner with PEPSA in the advocacy for routine voluntary environmental sanitation in the State.
