Plateau State Police assures of Adequate Personnel for Enforcement ahead of Saturday 24th February 2024  Environmental Sanitation

Director General Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) Mr. Samuel N. Dapiya together with some members of the management team of PEPSA were at the Office of the Area Commander, Nigerian Police Force which covers the Jos City Center to familiarize with the office and also to seek further collaborations, to facilitate sanitation and other activities within the purview of PEPSA.

The visit also provided opportunity for both the force and PEPSA to compare notes on the challenges being faced in the implementation of compliance and enforcement ahead of the scheduled Saturday 24th February 2024 Environmental Sanitation.

The Area Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, A. Haruna assured the DG PEPSA of adequate security and personnel ahead of the exercise. He commended the DG PEPSA for his foresight in initiating the visit, which according to the Area Commander provides ample opportunity to facilitate greater collaboration and better working relationship between the force and the agency in critical aspects of Sanitation and Environmental Protection.

Earlier, the DG PEPSA, Mr. Samuel N. Dapiya inspected available sanitation assets and personnel in preparation for the Saturday 24th February 2024 environmental sanitation. He urged the personnel to put in their best in maintaining a clean environment in Plateau State.

The DG also went on an on-the-spot assessment of various sanitation flashpoints within the city center in order to have first hand information about the interventions made to ensure that the areas are kept clean.
