The Director General of Plateau State Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) Mr. Samuel Nathaniel Dapiya has hit the ground running at the agency at a very fast pace. Just less than 72hrs after assuming office, he is moving at a pace synonymous with someone who has set goals and timelines for achieving them.

The DG began his day firstly, with a meeting with staff of the agency, where he was introduced by the director administration/immediate past Ag General Manager, Mrs. Anthonia Matshal Shalwul. He took time to explicitly outline his vision and objectives for the agency and in tandem with the Time is Now mantra of the Executive Governor of Plateau state, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang. He also took advantage of the meeting to acquaint himself with staff and protocols of the agency.

Coming out from the meeting with staff, the DG went straight into another strategic meeting with sanitation stakeholders, comprising of security agencies, market women association, traders association, NURTW, journalists, legal practitioners and other critical players in a familiarization chat and adopt strategies that would lead to a seamless yet successful monthly sanitations.

He also welcomed contributions from them and sought for their collaboration in returning Plateau State back to its clean state as it were.
The DG then proceeded on a familiarization tour together with members of PEPSA management team to the office of the Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Hon. Peter Lamba Gwom where the DG introduced himself as the new head of the agency and as an affiliate of the Ministry of Environment, pledged to corporate and collaborate with the mother ministry in order to deliver on the mandate of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang in achieving a clean, safe and protected environment for all on the Plateau.

The DG, along with his management team made a quick stop at the budget and planning office to identify and seek further collaborations.
The DG concluded his tour with a visit to the Plateau State Internal Revenue Service (PSIRS) where he was received by the Chairman of the Service, Mr. Jim Wayas and members of his management team. The DG informed the Chairman of PSIRS that he was on the visit with his team, as a revenue generating agency to familiarize himself with the service in order to consider ways to collaborate in the interest of Plateau State, especially, considering that PEPSA had not done very well in that area in the recent past.

Responding, the Chairman of the Plateau State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Jim Wayas assured the agency of his readiness to collaborate in the interest of improving the Internally Generated Revenue of the state. He used the opportunity to call on Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the state with mandates like PEPSA to join forces with PSIRS in order to improve the fortunes of Plateau State.

Earlier, the DG also received in his office members of the Mangu Project who were in his office to congratulate him over his appointment by the Executive Governor of Plateau State.
